Frequently Asked Questions

Can I read and interact with my eBook on more than one computer?
Multi-user capabilities vary by reader and version. Consult your reader's help file or website for specific information.

Can I create a backup copy of my eBook?
Yes; we encourage you to back up your file regularly in order to safeguard your information. Detailed instructions for backing up your file can be found online in the help section of www.DigitalTextbooks.net.

Do I have to be online to read it?
No, you must only be connected to the Internet during the download process. Due to the size of some files, dial-up connections are not recommended for downloading eBooks.

What if my computer crashes?
Creating a backup file for your eBook is solely your responsibility. Doing so is the only way to ensure that your eBook is not lost should your hard drive fail.

What happens if I lose my internet connection while my eBook is downloading?
The software "remembers" the transaction. Once you've reconnected and launched your reader, your eBook will continue downloading from the point of interruption.

How long do eBooks last? Do they expire?
Expirations vary by publisher. While most eBook titles do not expire, some may after 12 months. Details for your particular eBook can be found on your card or online during the activation process.

Can I return an eBook?
You may return a non-activated eBook card to the bookstore where you originally purchased it (subject to the bookstore's return policy). Once an eBook has been activated online, it is no longer returnable.

Can I sell an eBook back at the end of the term?
eBooks are all about savings--upfront savings. Instead of waiting until the end-of-term buyback, you get your money up front in the form of big savings on your initial purchase.

For more information about your purchase, activation, and technical support, visit www.DigitalTextbooks.net or call 888-886-0801.
