How do I order books for my distance education classes?
- Click the Course Materials link at the end of this page.
- Put together your book list, then go to your shopping cart.
- Select an update action. Because required materials can change at any time, we need to know what you'd like us to do if this happens in one of your classes between the time you order and the time we fill your order. (This update action is most important during preorders/reservations.) Read these options carefully!
- Log in. Unless you have ordered with us before, you will need to create a profile. The password you create is unique to our store; it doesn’t have to be the same as another UAA account’s password.
- Place your order, and we will do the rest!
Can I get used books?
Absolutely! If used books are available, we will get them for you. Be aware that, unfortunately, some textbooks and materials are not available used.
Do I need a credit card to order my textbooks?
Yes. We take Visa and Mastercard.
Can you charge my books to my student account?
Unfortunately, we are unable to charge your student account for textbook mailouts. The only way you can place an order online is with a Visa or Mastercard.
Was my credit card charged when I placed my order?
No. The confirmation email you receive immediately after placing your order is not a receipt; you are not charged at that time. Our orders are manually processed, so you will not be charged until we process and pack your order.
If an item is out of stock at the time of your order, we will mail a partial order; you will only be charged for the the items we send in that partial order. You will be charged for out of stock items only when the arrive in the store and are processed and packed.
How do I make changes to my order?
For changes, cancellations, questions, or assistance, please call the us at (907) 786-4759.
What if I need to return books?
Returns by mail must be postmarked by the return date on the card stapled to your receipt. After this date, please call (907) 786-4759 to discuss your options. Do not mail your books to us after the return date without contacting us first.
Return packages must include a receipt or legible photocopy and a note as to why the books are being returned. Books must be returned in the same condition in which they were sold, so pack your textbooks carefully; we cannot issue refunds for items damaged in shipping. Packages, bundles, and wrapped books cannot be returned for any reason if they have been opened or unwrapped.
What if I’ve dropped my class, but it’s after the return date?
You may be able to return books after the return date if you have dropped a class. You will need to bring send of drop and meet all other returns conditions listed in the previous question. Please call us first at (907) 786-4759. Do not mail your books to us without contacting us first.
